I am a K-6 librarian at Loudonville and Maplewood Elementaries in the North Colonie CSD. I decided to go with Blogger because I am familiar with WordPress and wanted to check out a different format. I also played around with EduBlogs, but it looked very similar to WordPress and I wanted to try something new. Also, I was very disappointed to see the constant ads to upgrade to a paid version. I also played around with Posterous, but didn't really like the format for posting.
I signed up for this project because although I'm pretty comfortable with technology and "web 2.0" things, I always want to hear how other people see these tools being used in an educational setting. If I've learned one thing, it's that the moment you are comfortable is the same moment that you fall behind. It can be overwhelming, but it can be a lot of fun. I really look forward to exploring and learning together.
It's always good to have a more experienced person in the group. Maybe you can provide answers to some of the questions others ask!
